Splash Blast Returns as the Premier Sponsor of Water Ski and Wakeboard Canada

Puslinch, ON (May 7, 2024) – Splash BlastTM is excited to return to the shores of Bala, Ontario, this summer as the Premier Sponsor of Water Ski and Wakeboard Canada (WSWC) and the SWS Muskoka Ski Shows. While the Tuesday night summer ski shows have been a tradition in Muskoka since the 1960s, this marks Splash Blast’s second consecutive year sponsoring the event.

“We had a blast last year, participating as Premier Sponsor of the SWS Ski show,” says Doyin Abanishe, Marketing Manager, BlueTriton Brands.  “The shows gave us a great platform to reach the right audience, and the SWS team paid such great attention to the execution details - weaving the brand story into the fabric of the shows. We’re delighted to work with them again this year and can’t wait for summer!”

Like last year, SWS staff and volunteers at the Ski Show will give out free samples of Splash Blast each week. Hundreds of families are expected to attend the show each Tuesday night, as two shows last summer had an aerial headcount of over 3,500 people watching from the beach.

“Last year was the largest Tuesday night show we have ever done,” says Todd Hounsome, Chair of Show Ski Canada. “The amount of cheering and smiling faces is something I will never forget.”

Hounsome adds that teaming up with Splash Blast not only allows Show Ski Canada to showcase their talents to a much larger audience than they normally would be able to, but the sponsorship helps to fund things like team equipment and training.

“The Splash Blast brand aligns with the healthy and active lifestyle that our team promotes,” Hounsome says. “This year’s sponsorship will even help fund our way to the World Show Ski Tournament in Mulwala, New South Wales, Australia, in March 2025!”

Last year, the 16-act show featured Captain Splash Blast and his crew saving the day in front of massive crowds every Tuesday night.

“I was at one of the shows last August, and it was awesome,” Abanishe said. “Watching the skillful athletes, feeling the crowd's energy, and getting splashed in the Splash Blast zone were parts of the show I won’t forget in a hurry!”

So, what will the show’s storyline be this year?

“You’ll have to come to Bala one Tuesday night this summer to see the show for yourself and find out,” Hounsome says.

The free show takes place on Tuesday nights at 7:30 from June 25th through August 27th at

Windsor Park in Bala, Ontario. For more information, visit https://swsmuskoka.com/shows/.
